WOODY MARSHALL/THE TELEGRAPH Volunteer Victoria Horton spends a little quality time with a pony named Popanga at Idyll Acres Ranch. Popanga was over weight which lead to hoof problems. The ranch takes in abused and unwanted horses donkeys and goats to rehabilitate. CEO Lewis Smith says the ranch is operated by donations and is in need of money to keep the program going.
Woody said,"I really liked the light in this little barn. But the pony sticking its tongue out makes the photo for me."
Telegraph and Macon.com Director of Photography Woody Marshall kicks off our annual sharing of our favorite photos of the year in this gallery.
