WARNER ROBINS -- Houston County authorities have arrested two more suspects in a home invasion last week in which an Elko family was attacked and robbed by armed masked men.

With one earlier arrest, investigators now believe they have in custody all the men responsible for the robbery, said Houston County sheriff’s Lt. Jon Holland. The victims originally reported four armed men involved in the attack, but Holland said information gathered in the investigation has indicated there were only three.

The robbery occurred Dec. 5 and two days later investigators arrested the first suspect, John Drew Clark, 18, of Elko. They later identified a second suspect, Richard Joshua Hooks, 18, of Perry, and he turned himself in to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday evening, information gathered in the investigation led deputies and Perry police officers to a home in Perry, where they arrested Dabian Isaiah Fountain, 19, of Kathleen.

All three are charged with one count of armed robbery and are being held in the Houston County jail. Fountain is also charged with violation of probation.

The attack occurred at the family’s home on Grovania Road. The husband was struck several times with a gun and his wife was also struck in the head. The wife was shot at as she tried to flee. They were treated at the scene for superficial injuries. Children and other family members were also in the home.

Holland said the attack generated significant concern in the community, and he credited the arrests to help from the public and the work of the investigators.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Al Elvins or Sgt. Charlene Giles, the lead investigators on the case, at (478) 542-2080.
