Houston County commissioners issued two public notices at Tuesday’s regular meeting, including the county’s trick-or-treat hours.

County Administrator Steve Engle said Wednesday the commissioners announced Halloween will be celebrated 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

The cities of Centerville, Perry and Warner Robins have agreed to celebrate at that time as well.

Commissioners also reviewed information about the second annual Claxton Road Race, an event that will benefit the Central Georgia Alzheimer’s Association.

To be held in April, the race will start at Landing Pointe Plaza and end in the Statham’s Landing subdivision.
