WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- An earthquake that shook the East Coast on Tuesday was felt in Williamsport, Pa., as well.

The Genetti Hotel, where some parents were staying, was evacuated after tremors triggered a fire alarm. Another parent called her husband telling him the house they were at was shaking.

All of this happened about 1:30 p.m., while the Southeast players were taking the field for practice.

Fromm’s back feeling better

Jake Fromm has been stretching out with trainers two to three times a day because of his sore back. He commented after the game Monday afternoon that he was feeling much better.

Former competitor arrives to watch

Randy Dempsey, manager of the Warner Robins American Little League West all-stars, arrived in Williamsport on Monday to cheer on his former competitors.

The East all-stars, who are representing the Southeast in the Little League World Series, beat the West earlier this year in the district tournament.
