WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Little League International has a mail service that delivers e-mail messages to the players while they are at the World Series.

Southeast coach Buddy Deal gets enjoyment out of watching the boys get excited about the well wishes.

He gets to joke with his players as well as make things up just to get them upset.

Third baseman Logan Fink has gotten more mail than any other player, Deal said. Fink has about 28 messages so far while the others have had maybe three each.

Deal has taken to saying messages are for Fink even if they aren’t. He will tease about girls sending break-up notes to the other boys because Fink is more popular.

“It’s my favorite part of the day,” Deal said.
