The Gateway Macon Initiative announced the three finalists of the Macon Shorts film competition. Each winner will receive $3,000 to produce a five-to-10 minute short film, a news release said.
The finalists are Kristen Wright, of Atlanta, for her project Superhero; Joseph Guay, of Atlanta, for his project The Razzle; and James Kicklighter, of Savannah, for his project Final Acts.
The three will shoot their movies in Macon from July to September. The films will be judged by film industry professionals during October, and the films will be shown in November. The winner will receive $3,000, with the second and third-place finishers getting $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.
