Former Mercer head men’s basketball coach Mark Slonaker has been named as the new Executive Director of the UGA Bulldog Club.

Georgia athletics director Greg McGarity made the announcement Friday.

Since July of 2008, Slonaker has served as a regional director for Principal & Major Gifts in the school’s development office.

The Rahway, N.J., native played at Georgia from 1976-79 under head coach Hugh Durham, whose staff he eventually joined.
