UPDATE: 1,900 power outages remain in Middle Georgia

About 1,900 outages are reported from Georgia Power and Flint Energies in the wake of thunderstorms.

Georgia Power reports 1,700 customers without electricity as of 9 a.m., including 1,632 in Macon.

In Dublin there are 94 outages, 8 in Hawkinsville and 6 in Milledgeville, said Georgia Power spokeswoman Konswello Monroe.

A total of 6,500 Georgia Power customers lost electricity during the height of the storm, Monroe said.

Flint Energies reported 200 members without power in multiple locations as of 9:00 a.m.

Flint's outages stretch from Montezuma to Reynolds to Lizella, but crews are out making repairs.

Fallen trees damaged power lines in Shirley Hills in East Macon.

Trees were still blocking Briarcliff Road in Shirley Hills as of 9 a.m.

Another downed tree was reported earlier on Rainey Drive in west Bibb County.

Motorists encountering traffic light outages are to treat the intersection as a full stop.
