Georgia College names new vice president

Georgia College & State University announced Friday that William Doerr has been named first associated vice president for development and alumni relations.

Doerr has 15 years of experience in education, working at public and private universities in North Carolina and Georgia, including Georgia State University, according to a university news release.

Doerr has an associate degree in music from Andrew College, a bachelor’s degree in political science from High Point University and a master’s degree in public administration from Columbus State University.
