Macon police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old Macon woman who was found unconscious in a south Macon house Tuesday morning.
Thomas Lockett told police he went to the house on Flamingo Drive about 9:15 a.m. and found his daughter, Tracy Latoya Lockett, lying face down on the floor at the foot of a bed.
Her son was sitting on the bed, according to a police report released Wednesday.
Tracy Lockett, of an Irving Avenue address, was pronounced dead about 10:20 a.m.
An autopsy performed Wednesday was inconclusive. Additional testing is being performed by the GBI, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.
Thomas Lockett told police he spoke with his daughter by phone about 4 a.m. Tuesday.
A man who spent the night at the house told police he broke up a fight between Tracy Lockett and her boyfriend in the front yard about 1 a.m. He said the boyfriend was choking her, according to the police report.
Tracy Lockett had been released from The Medical Center of Central Georgia on Monday after being treated for “swelling of the face,” according to the report.
