Georgia Tech will host a memorial service Friday afternoon inside Bobby Dodd Stadium for former Yellow Jackets football player Drew Hill. The former Receiver who went on to enjoy an NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams, Houston Oilers and Atlanta Falcons, died Saturday at 54.
The memorial will begin at 1 p.m., with fans encouraged to enter and be seated on the east side (Techwood Dr. side) of the stadium. Attendenees are asked to use the Peters parking deck -- across from the north end zone sidof the stadium.
Hill played at Tech in the mid- to late-1970s. In 1979, he was a 12th round draft selection to the Rams. He had a 14-year professional career before finishing his time with the Falcons in 1993.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Unity Baptist Church in Hill's hometown, Newnan.
