Missed Georgia Tech's spring caravan, Macon? Well, you're in luck. It's coming back.
After skipping over the midstate last year, the caravan, now in its fourth year, will be returning to north Macon's Idle Hour Country Club on April 5. At that time, fans can meet and mingle with some of the Institute's most recognized sports personalities.
The event begins at 6 p.m.
Athletic director Dan Radakovich, head football coach Paul Johnson, head women's basketball coach MaChelle Joseph and radio announcer, voice of the Yellow Jackets, Wes Durham will be part of the festivities.
There also is a chance the new head men's basketball coach could make the stop, and others. As of yet, no announcement has been made regarding the hire who will replace the fired Paul Hewitt. Hewitt attended the previous two caravans in Macon while in the middle of his 11-year tenure at Tech, which ended March 12.
Following the Macon stop, the caravan heads to Tampa, Fla. on April 7, Dalton on April 19 and Atlanta on May 3.
Although the event is free, fans are requested to register for tickets at http://ramblinwreck.cstv.com/gt/caravan.html. Those attending the Macon event can also reach out to the Macon-Middle Georgia alumni group.
Light snacks and a cash bar will be available at each stop.
