A 39-year-old Lizella man died Tuesday morning of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening in Bibb County.

Thomas Christopher Carmichael was headed west on Hartley Bridge Road when he abruptly stopped his 1981 Harley-Davidson motorcycle near the intersection of Fulton Mill Road and was hit from behind by a 1993 Honda Accord driven by a 16-year-old whose name was not released, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information about the 6:45 p.m. accident is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 746-9441.
