Macon City Council approved a handful of items up for a vote Tuesday without an opposing vote.

Councilmen Erick Erickson and James Timley were not present.

The council approved an amendment to the city’s inspection laws to adapt Georgia state minimum standard codes, the green building code and the noise control for airport noise zones.

The council also approved a raise for the city’s webmaster and network administrator, who had taken on additional jobs in recent months. Council members also separately created a surveyor position in the Engineering Department by deleting the surveyor assistant instrument position.

Reorganizing the Emergency Management Administration organization chart, the council deleted the operations officer and technical officer positions while creating a deputy director position. The council also approved an agreement with a company for its emergency notification system.
