Man accidentally shot himself in the leg

A 21-year-old Macon man accidentally shot himself in the leg early Friday morning while trying to take a gun out of a holster, according to Macon police.

Algie Flagg told police the bullet hit him in the left leg.

A witness told police she and Flagg were outside in the 200 block of Forest Avenue about 1 a.m. and Flagg was leaving.

She said she started to go inside and heard a gunshot. After turning around, Flagg said he had shot himself, according to a police report.
