Bibb deputies are asking the public to help identify a man who tried to rob the CVS pharmacy on Forest Hill Road at about 3:45 p.m. Aug. 22.

The man, who is white, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds, picked up a magazine, approached the cash register and displayed a handgun in the waistband of his pants, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

When a second clerk approached from behind, the gunman ran out of the store before driving away in a silver or gray four-door small car without a license plate.

The car, which had a red sticker on the trunk, headed north on Forest Hill Road.

Anyone with information about the gunman or the car is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 746-9441 or the Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
