Work under way on major I-75 project in Bibb

The $54.5 million Interstate 75 project is the second-most-expensive transportation venture in the state this year.

It’s scheduled to take three years and includes reconstructing and widening 3.3 miles of the interstate from four to six lanes, rebuilding and widening four bridges and overpasses, and replacing the southbound entrance and exit ramps near Pierce Avenue.
