Free food for a donation of copy paper seems an odd offer, but it’s one that will help teachers.

Sticky Fingers at The Shoppes at River Crossing, 5080 Riverside Drive, is offering customers a free appetizer valued up to $7.99 with the purchase of an entrée when they bring in an unopened ream of copy paper, according to a news release.

Customers have the option of designating their school of choice by writing the school’s name on the side label of the ream.

The promotion began Monday and runs through Sept. 30.

“The goal is to assist local teachers and schools who have been impacted by budget cuts,” Chaunce Fulton, operating partner in Macon said in the release. “This is a great way to help supply Macon-area schools with the paper they need.”
