Bibb County grand jurors Tuesday indicted a bartender accused of striking a woman in the face with a pool ball and separately indicted a man accused of raping and severely beating his girlfriend.

Terri Page, 36, of Macon, is charged with aggravated assault in connection with a Feb. 13 incident at Hud’s Bar and Grill, in which she allegedly struck 21-year-old Kristina Gore in the face with a pool ball, according to Bibb County Superior Court records.

Gore told police she was attending a fundraising function at the Gray Highway business and that the incident occurred following an argument about money.

A police officer noted in a report that Gore’s nose was fractured in four places and that her eyes remained swollen shut days after the incident.

Page was arrested March 12 and released the same day on $16,700 bond, according to Bibb County jail records.

In an unrelated case, 35-year-old Tony Elbert Washington, also known as Tayvon Paris Washington, is charged with rape and aggravated assault in connection with a Feb. 7 assault on his 24-year-old girlfriend, according to court records.

Washington, of Pensacola, Fla., is accused of raping the woman and striking her with an extension cord, hitting her with his fist and kicking and biting her, according to an indictment.

He was convicted in 2005 on charges of false imprisonment and battery in Muscogee County, according to court records.

Washington is being held at the Bibb County jail without bond.

n Jason Tharpe, 18, of Macon, and Robert McElroy, 18, of Macon, on seven counts of burglary.
