Macon man arrested in Florida on midstate murder charge

Members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a Macon man in the Miami area Wednesday in connection with a Macon homicide.

Notorius Montrel Williams, 21, formerly of Lilly Avenue, is charged with murder in connection with the May 17 killing of 28-year-old Tommy Daniel Jr. on Winton Avenue, according to the task force.

Daniel, of Spencer Circle, was shot while driving near the intersection of Winton and Date avenues, according to Macon police.

Javares Lavendar, 19, of Toole Drive, was arrested May 19 and charged with murder in connection with Daniel’s death.
