Two women were shot early Thursday on Ramona Avenue in Macon’s Fort Hill neighborhood, and police are looking for two other women believed to be responsible.

Shortly after 4 a.m., 18-year-old Samantha Blount and 25-year-old Candace Hooks arrived at Coliseum Medical Centers. Blount was shot in the chest and leg, and Hooks was wounded in the leg, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

The wounded women said that two other women approached them while the victims were sitting on the back of a car in the 1200 block of Ramona Avenue.

Police are looking for Shameka Anderson and Kimberly Washington, who may be traveling in a maroon four-door Honda Civic, the release stated.

Blount told investigators she had an altercation last weekend with Anderson, who allegedly pulled a gun and started shooting when she approached the women early Thursday.

Anyone with information on the suspects or on the maroon Honda Civic is asked to call Macon police at 751-7500 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
