Hawkinsville Better Hometown recognized as Main Street Program

Hawkinsville Better Hometown has received recognition as an accredited National Main Street Program, after passing the annual evaluation administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.

The Main Street designation acknowledges that Hawkinsville has met commercial district revitalization performance standards set by the National Trust Main Street Center. Other Main Street cities in Georgia include Milledgeville and Athens.
