Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for a male suspect who fired shots early Sunday in the parking lot of Rock-A-Billy’s nightclub, injuring two people in the leg.

About 2:45 a.m., Bibb Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of Rock-A-Billy’s, aka The Rock, located on Sheraton Drive. They found a crowd of people in the parking lot, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. While deputies were dealing with a conflict in one part of the parking lot, somebody in another part of the lot fired shots at the front of the building. Curtis Douglas, a bouncer at the nightclub, and Travis Veal, a patron, both received bullet wounds to the leg and were taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. They were listed in stable condition at the hospital at noon Sunday, according to the release.

Investigators believe the shooter left the scene in either a black “box style” Chevrolet sedan with large chrome rims or a maroon Cadillac Fleetwood. Anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to call the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 746-9441 or Macon regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME.
