Woman robbed at ATM drive-through on Bloomfield

Macon police are investigating an armed robbery and shooting that took place late Wednesday in the drive-through of the Bank of America, 3855 Bloomfield Road.

A woman was at the drive-through ATM when she and her son were approached by a man who pulled a handgun and demanded the woman’s money.

The man put the gun to the woman’s head, according to a news release, and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t comply. The woman tried to drive off, but the man fired a shot, striking her in the left shoulder. The wound is not life threatening, police said.
