Houston County sheriffs deputies discovered $23,250 in cash in a plastic bag hidden in the rear cargo area of a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country van, police said.
The search of the van Sunday came after its driver was pulled over for a window tint violation on Interstate 75 southbound near mile marker 127 and a narcotics police dog alerted for odors of illegal narcotics, according to a Houston County Sheriffs Office news release.
Harris Foster Neal II, 27, of Doraville, the driver, was charged with window tint violation and driving on a suspended drivers license, the release said. The sheriffs office is investigating, the release said.
