Macon police are looking into a complaint in which a woman told investigators a shot was fired at her car early Sunday morning.

According to a report, the woman was driving near Maynard Street and Emery Highway when she heard a loud bang and something strike her car. The woman saw a red SUV with chrome rims turning while she continued to drive.

When she got home, she discovered a bullet hole near the wheel on the driver’s side. The woman told investigators her two children were in the car with her.

Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description from the woman and spoke to the two men inside. One of the men was carrying a .380-caliber pistol that didn’t appear to be recently fired.

The case remains under investigation.
