Man shot multiple times in drive-by shooting

A 38-year old man is suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after a drive-by shooting early Monday morning on Crisp Street in Macon.

Johnny D. Jackson told police he was walking about 1:15 a.m. in the 500 block of Crisp Street near Blount Street, which runs between Houston Avenue and Broadway, when he heard gunshots as a car went by. After he dropped to the ground, he realized he was shot, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

Jackson was wounded in the left thigh, left forearm and a bullet grazed his left side. He was in stable condition at The Medical Center of Central Georgia following the shooting.
