Fitzgerald's Pruitt signs on with Vanderbilt

FITZGERALD - National Signing Day is old hat for the Pruitt family.

Trenton Pruitt signed Wednesday to become head coach Robbie Pruitt’s third son to sign a college football scholarship. Tucker and Tyler played with Valdosta State, while Trenton signed to play with Vanderbilt.

“The mix of academics and the fact that they play in the SEC (were the deciding factors in the decision),” Trenton Pruitt said. “Having both of my brothers play in college and now to have the chance myself is really something special.”

Pruitt said the Blazers plan to use him as a slot back.
