Crawford County sheriff’s officials responded to a call Thursday night in which a Roberta man accidentally shot himself with a pistol, a report stated.
According to the report, deputies found the victim, James Glenn Andrews, 47, at his home about 10:44 p.m.
Andrews had removed a .44 Colt Anaconda pistol from its holster. When he placed the gun back in, it discharged and a bullet struck Andrews in his left foot. Andrews was transported to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with a non-life threatening injury.
The shooting has been ruled accidental by the sheriff’s office.
