Lee Campbell, Hawkinsville: Campbell took a Hawkinsville program that hadn't won more than nine games since 1969 and led it to two state championships in eight years. He went 78-24-1 from 2000-07. He had just one losing season in eight years. The Red Devils won championships in 2003 and 2004, going 29-0-1 in that stretch.
Robert Davis, Westside: Davis is the only coach on this list to not win a state championship this decade. But he built a new program into the most powerful Bibb County has seen since integration. Westside went 10-4 in its third varsity season in 2000. It was the first of two trips to the Georgia Dome. The Seminoles didn't have a losing season in the decade, and had four 10-win seasons in a row. He went 81-26 in the decade.
Rance Gillespie, Peach County: Gillespie was only at Peach County as a head coach for six years, but in that span he had four straight 11-plus win seasons. He led Peach County to back-to-back state championships in 2005 and 2006. He went 65-16.
Barney Hester, Tattnall Square: The Trojans won GISA championships in 2001, 2006 and 2007. Tattnall won nine games or more nine of the 10 years, and won 11 or more six times. Tattnall had only one losing season in the decade. Hester went 104-20-2 during the decade.
Roger Holmes, Dublin: Holmes came to Dublin from Tennessee in 2002 and immediately led the Irish to the state championship game. He led the Irish to the Georgia Dome four times in the decade. He had six 10-win seasons. The Irish won the state championship in 2006. Only one losing season. His record was 81-22-1.
Conrad Nix, Northside: Nix led Northside to long-awaited championships in 2006 and 2007. The Eagles went 30-0 in those seasons and won 35 straight games. The Eagles finished the decade playing for four championships in five years. Northside won 10 games or more every year during the decade. Only Buford has more than Northside's 121 wins this decade. Nix went 121-14 over the decade.
