Lafallis Anderson, Hawkinsville: Like Fitzgerald's Rodney Milsap, Anderson is one of the few three-time all-state players from Middle Georgia. He had a Middle Georgia high of 12 interceptions in 2003. Had seven interceptions in 2004 and five in 2005. Holds the career interception record with 24, which is double the total of the next closest player.

Quintin Banks, Houston County: Consensus all-state pick as a senior after helping the Bears advance to the state quarterfinals. Played in the GACA all-star game. Career stats of 193 tackles, 22 pass breakups, five forced fumbles and two interceptions. Currently a junior at Georgia.

Nick Brooks, Northside: Brooks received consensus all-state honors as a senior in 2001. Finished the season with 45 tackles and five interceptions. Led team to city and region championships. Ranked as one of the top 35 cornerbacks in the nation by Rivals.com. Played at Florida.

Dominique Davenport, Warner Robins: Led the team with seven interceptions as a junior in 2004 when the Demons won a state championship. Finished third on his team with 92 tackles that season. Intercepted five passes as a senior, returning one for a touchdown. Second in school history in interceptions. Named to the AP all-state team as a junior. Named honorable mention all-state as a senior. Signed with Coastal Carolina.

Tony McCrea, Wilkinson County: Named the AP Class A Defensive Player of the Year in 2008 after intercepting nine passes and breaking up 15 passes and leading the Warriors to the semifinals. Signed with SE Louisana.

DeAndre Smelter, Tattnall Square: Two-time all-state pick is one of the top players in GISA history despite not playing as a freshman or as a senior. Even though he played two seasons, he holds the school record with 16 interceptions. He intercepted a school-record 10 passes in 2007. He was named the All-Middle Georgia GISA Player of the Year in 2007. Two-time all-state pick. Named the Telegraph's 2007-2008 Athlete of the Year. Signed a baseball scholarship with Georgia Tech, but he had numerous football scholarship offers.

Jemea Thomas, Fitzgerald: Thomas received consensus all-state honors as a senior when he led the Purple Hurricane to the state semifinals. Led Fitzgerald with 140 tackles, four interceptions and three blocked kicks. Picked the Class AA Defensive Player of the Year by the AJC in 2008. Finishing up his freshman season at Georgia Tech.

Jeremy Wiggins, Northeast: Northeast has had a player named to the AP all-state first-team three times in school history. Wiggins received two of those three honors when he was named to back-to-back all-state teams in 2001 and 2002, which were the two best seasons in school history. Intercepted six passes as a senior. Started every in his four-year career. Wiggins had an All-American career at Appalachian State.
