Travis Bell (2004-2007). Finishing his career five years after Manget, Bell came just short of the school record for points scored. Bell had 321. A two-time All-ACC selection, Bell wrapped up one of Georgia Techs more storied place-kicking careers. While Mangets name is more recognizable by Yellow Jackets fans who remember his game-winning kick to beat Georgia, Bells ought to resonate, as well. The Roswell native finished his career ranked first in five school records, and second in another four. He had the most career field goals (61), the most season field goals (23), the highest career field goal percentage (.726), the highest season field goal percentage (.882 in 2004) and the most points scored in a season by a kicker (106).
Scott Blair (2008-present). While maligned much of his career, Blair has had several moments during his on-going time at Georgia Tech that rivals much of his predecessors. With 70 career points entering this season, he was already ranked 17th on the schools all-time points list, and is sure to crack the top five by the end of his senior season next year. Blairs time at Georgia Tech has been defined more by moments than statistics themselves, as he converted four field goalsincluding three from beyond 40 yardsto beat Clemson in this years ACC championship game. He also booted a game-winner with less than a minute remaining in the regular-season matchup with the Tigers. In that same game, he also completed a touchdown pass to receiver Demaryius Thomas off a fake field goal.
Dan Burnett (2003). In between Mangets and Bells tenures, Burnett took over the place-kicking duties. His career accuracy rate of 68 percent ranks fifth in school history, just one percentage point behind Scott Sisson. His 17 field goals for a season ranks fourth in school history. In addition to being a former walk-on, Burnett won a state championship in high school at Parkview, and was a national runner-up in the NFLs Punt, Pass and Kick competition at age 11 in 1992.
Luke Manget (1999-2002). Next to Scott Sisson, Manget has the most last-second field goals in Georgia Tech history (note: that statistic only goes back as far as 1952). Manget had three during his career, including a 38-yarder to beat rival Georgia in overtime in 1999, and another two that forced overtime against Clemson and North Carolina in 2001 and 1999, respectively. Credited with 322 career points, he is the Yellow Jackets all-time leader in points scored. A three-time All-ACC selection, Manget was also declared a high school All-American by Parade magazine, as well as ESPN The Magazine.
