WARNER ROBINS — The intersection of Watson Boulevard and Davis Drive reopened Wednesday afternoon.

A rubber gasket failed on a 16-inch pipe, flooding the intersection Tuesday, said Warner Robins utilities director Montie Walters.

Davis Drive was closed from Commercial Circle to Watson Boulevard and from Thomas Boulevard to Watson Boulevard for the repair work most of Tuesday, with city utility crews working overnight and most of Wednesday.

In addition to the waterline repair, a nearby sewer line and the integrity of the roads were checked before the hole dug through Davis Drive was refilled, Walters said. Public works crews repaved the road Wednesday afternoon.
