Bibb school bus hits car on Vineville

A Bibb County school bus rear-ended a car on Vineville Avenue on Monday morning, sending the car’s driver and passenger to the hospital, school officials said.

David Gowan, the Bibb County school system’s director of risk management, said there weren’t any students on the bus.

“I hate that it happened,” he said.

The accident occurred about a block away from Vineville Magnet School and is under investigation, he said.

The bus driver won’t be allowed back on the route until an accident review committee meets later this week to review the case, he said.
