Woman killed in Gray Highway crash

A pedestrian was killed Monday night in a car crash on Gray Highway in front of Greenwood Baptist Church about five miles east of Macon, according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. R.E. Holloway said deputies are still trying to notify the woman’s next of kin. Her identity has not been released. The crash, which involved two cars, occurred at about 8:20 p.m., he said. The accident remains under investigation.
