U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall, who had planned to hold a town hall meeting today in Macon, has rescheduled it for Thursday so he can be in Washington, D.C., for votes on health-care reform, his office said.
Marshall, D-Ga., initially had planned to fly to Macon this morning, hold the meeting, then fly to D.C. for an evening vote on proposed health-care reforms that have dominated debate in Washington for months. But now he will remain in Washington because of an expected morning procedural vote that will outline the terms of debate for the health-care bill, said his chief of staff, Doug Moore.
