Gunmen rob Dudley convenience store

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two gunmen who robbed a store Tuesday night at the intersection of U.S. 80 and Ga. 338.

Between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., the men held up Doug’s Convenience Store and fled, but no detailed description of the robbers or of a getaway vehicle was available, sheriff’s Capt. Chris Bracewell said.

No one was hurt in the robbery, and no customers were in the store at the time, Bracewell said. Anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff Bill Harrell or Capt. Stan Wright at (478) 272-1522.
