Officials identify boy who died after being hit by car while riding bike

Crawford County deputies have released the identity of the 12-year-old boy killed Tuesday after his bicycle was struck by a car.

Austin Sellers, of Lizella, was crossing Carl Sutton Road at about 5:30 p.m. when he was struck by a 2000 Ford Focus driven by William M. Green, 20, of Knoxville, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Green has not been charged with a crime.

The accident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
