Simply put, Green dominated this game.

The sophomore put up eight catches for 174 yards and a touchdown, and made plays when it counted. After blocking a potentially game-winning Arizona State field goal attempt, Green proceeded to reel in a third-down, 36-yard bomb from quarterback Joe Cox on the subsequent drive, setting the Bulldogs up for Blair Walsh’s game-winning field goal as time expired.

After the game, head coach Mark Richt said there had been some hesitance on wide receivers coach Tony Ball’s behalf to put his star receiver in on special teams.

The idea, first proposed by linebackers coach John Jancek, came to fruition though, and Green made Jancek look like a genius.

Blair Walsh’s game-winning field goal

Sophomore Blair Walsh is still perfect on the season, and was not intimidated by the first game-winning opportunity of his Georgia career.

After quarterback Joe Cox took a knee directly between the hash marks, Walsh drilled the deciding points between the goal posts as time expired.
