Middle Georgia man wins lottery

A Cadwell man purchased a Fantasy 5 ticket Aug. 12 at the Quick Stop No. 2 at 2887 Ga. 117 in Cadwell.

Little did he know when he scratched off the ticked on his golf cart that he would be a winner. Jimmy Spivey, 55, won a $55,555 top prize playing the Fantastic 5, a Georgia Lottery instant game, according to a Georgia Lottery news release.

“I almost fell out of my cart,” he said according to the release.

Spivey claimed the money the next day.

He said he is going to use the money to pay off his bills, according to the release.
