Second Sundays moves to evenings in summer

The Second Sunday series will move to the evenings for its next two events, organizers said.

The series, which include free concerts in Washington Park, will run from 6-8 p.m. beginning with this Sunday’s event. Holy Ghost Tent Revival, a band from Greensboro, N.C., will be the July musical act, while Jason Isbell will perform at the August event, with local opener Oh Dorian.

The change is being made to try to avoid high summer temperatures. Second Sundays will switch back to a brunch event in September.
