Milledgeville woman sentenced for tax evasion

A Milledgeville woman has been sentenced to a year in federal prison and ordered to pay restitution of $361,599.60 after being convicted of tax evasion.

Elmera V. Dejarme, 62, was sentenced in U.S. District County Court on Tuesday. She must serve two years on supervised release following the completion of the prison sentence, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Dejarme entered a guilty plea to tax evasion Aug. 4, 2008.
