Macon police investigate stabbing of man at apartment complex

Macon police are looking into a stabbing that took place Monday night in an apartment complex on Plant Street, a report said.

According to the report, the victim was returning to his apartment about 10:45 p.m. after doing laundry and saw two men fighting near an apartment. The man attempted to break up the fight and was stabbed from behind by an unknown female.

A second witness identified the woman as “Kelly,” who is known to frequent the Tindall Heights area, the report said. One of the men involved in the fight is Kelly’s brother, the report said.

The victim sustained one stab wound on the left side of his back, between the rib cage and shoulder blade area. He was transported to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
