Tractor trailer driver killed in I-16 accident

A tractor trailer driver from Jacksonville, Fla. was killed early Sunday on Interstate 16 in Laurens County.

John Loren Hudnall, 49, was driving eastbound when he drifted off the road and hit a guardrail at Ga. 338 at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday, said a Georgia State Patrol spokesman.

The truck went down an embankment and was on the way back up toward the road when it hit two trees and caught fire.

Hudnall died at the scene, the spokesman said.
