The Medical Center of Central Georgia has been notified by the Joint Commission, the predominant standards-setting and accrediting agency in health care, that the hospital will maintain its full accreditation, Medical Center CEO Don Faulk said in an e-mail to The Telegraph.

The nonprofit Joint Commission re-evaluates hospitals’ performance at least every three years using an on-site survey team, which visited the Medical Center last year.

Faulk said he expects a final letter of notification from the Joint Commission any day and an announcement placed on the commission’s Web site soon.
