Today marks the last day Georgians can register to vote and be eligible to vote in the presidential election.

To register, you must be a citizen of the United States and be at least 18 years old by election day, according to the Georgia Secretary of State's Office.

Those serving out a felony sentence or who are judged mentally incompetent are not eligible.

People who have moved since the last time they voted are urged to contact their board of elections to file a change of address card.

In the first nine months of this year more than 406,000 Georgians registered to vote compared to more than 371,000 during the same period in 1004.
