Howard Dean to speak in Macon

Howard Dean, the former presidential candidate and governor of Vermont, and current Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, will be in Macon July 26 for the the party's state committee meeting, the party confirmed this afternoon.

Dean will be in Georgia raising money for Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign and will speak to committee members.

A $250-per-person fundraiser begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Wilson Convention Center on Coliseum Drive, according to the state party. The state committee meeting begins at 1 p.m.
