Top tight end picks Clemson over Georgia

Fayetteville, N.C., tight end Dwayne Allen, who had been committed to Georgia, signed with Clemson, according to Clemson's Web site, which said the school received his National letter-of-intent at 10:51 a.m.

Allen (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) is a top-100 signee, according to ESPN.com. He is ranked as 83rd best player in the nation by ESPN.com, including the No. 3 tight end. He was listed as a four-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com.
