What’s open, what’s not for July Fourth

Banks: American Pride Bank, Atlantic Southern Bank, Bank of America, BB&T, Capital City Bank, CB&T Bank of Middle Georgia, Central Bank of Georgia, Colonial Bank, MidSouth Federal Credit Union, RBC Centura Bank, Robins Federal Credit Union, Security Bank, SunMark Community Bank, SunTrust Bank and Wachovia will be closed Saturday.

Government offices: Offices for the cities of Macon, Jeffersonville, Gray, Forsyth, Roberta, Warner Robins, Centerville, Perry, Byron and Fort Valley, as well as offices for Bibb, Crawford, Twiggs, Jones, Monroe, Houston and Peach counties, will be closed Friday. The Department of Family and Children Services and the Labor Department will be closed Friday. State courts, federal agencies and federal courts will be closed Friday.

Mail delivery: No delivery Saturday.

Garbage: Garbage routes in the cities of Macon will run on schedule. Garbage routes in Bibb and Crawford counties will be on schedule. The single-stream recycling collection in Macon will change to July 10 and July 24, due to the July Fourth holiday. The schedule will return to the first and third Friday pickup for August. Garbage routes in Byron, Centerville, Fort Valley, Perry and Warner Robins, and Houston and Peach counties, will be on schedule. Commercial trash pickup will not take place Saturday in Perry.

Libraries: The Middle Georgia Regional Library and its branches will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Public libraries in Houston and Peach counties will be closed Friday and Saturday and will reopen Monday.

The library in Byron will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
