The Macon Water Authority cleaned up two sewage overflows Wednesday.

The authority cleaned up a 100-gallon sewage overflow at the dead end of Hill Place caused by grease and roots, said Mike Beard, the authority’s assistant sewer conveyance manager. A 2,000-gallon sewage overflow was cleaned up at 3535 Williamson Road. It was caused by grease and rags, Beard said.

The authority also cleaned up a 900-gallon sewage spill Tuesday at 1275 Edna Place.

The spill, caused by grease and roots in the sewer line, got into a ditch that feeds into Rocky Creek, Beard said.
